We recently held two competitions, one was for $225 in Amazon gift cards and the other was for 8 Chase coupon codes. It’s well past the time winners should be announced, so let’s get to it!

$225 Amazon Gift Cards
This was a competition to help us improve the site, we requested that users share a bank bonus with us in the comments that was for $100 or more. Then we’d give away the following prizes:
- $100 Amazon gift card will be given at random to somebody who comments with a valid bank bonus
- $100 will be given to whoever posts the most popular bonus (this will be based on how many page views the bonus gets when we post it to the site)
- $25 in Amazon gift cards for people that share this competition on Twitter (must include a link to this competition and the hashtag #docbankbonus)
Twitter Winner
Let’s find out the Twitter winner first. There were a total of 31 entries on Twitter, we used Random.org and #21 was the winner which means @avicovecap is the winner.
Random Post
For this we tallied how many entries people had and then grouped them together (e.g if you were submitted 9 bonuses then we gave you 9 consecutive numbers to make things easier). Here are the total entries and then the winner:
- Anthony Fantino: 9
- Jonathan: 1
- BN: 1
- Aureliano: 2
- EIG: 1
- AVI: 1
Again used a random number generator and it was 4, which means Anthony was the winner.
Popular Post
This was really a one horse race, the $300 Bank of America bonus that Aureliano submitted was by far the most popular bonus as it was nationwide and it turned out you didn’t need to be targeted to receive it.
8Â Chase Coupons
This competition was for one of 9 chase checking/savings coupons for $450 total. All you needed to do was leave a comment and be signed up to the newsletter (we just checked this if you won, if you weren’t signed up we disqualified you and grab another number) nobody was able to win more than one coupon. In total there were 50 entries (one duplicate). The 8 winners were as follows: 6, 14, 3, 12, 13, 11, 49, 38.
Order is based on commenting order.
Final Thoughts
I’ve contacted all of the winners and they should have their prizes already, if you won and didn’t receive an e-mail from me then please contact me ([email protected]). Hopefully everybody found both of these competitions fun, tomorrow I’ll be announcing our next contest and our biggest yet – worth $800+!
