Our Verdict
Basically a free $5.
RIP, link is now dead, the honeypot is gone. Had some submitted on Sunday that got denied.
$10 Gas rebate also dead.
Took about a week to get my rebate and it worked easily for reloading my Amazon GC balance
$5 E giftcard received in less than 48hrs. after submitting photos/registration.
Tired using this to reload my Amazon GC balance. Amazon ultimately declined payment but the prepaid GC balance is now $0. FML.
I’m also unable to even add this card to Amazon.
Also cannot add it to PayPal, Venmo, or ApplePay, and it did not work as a Citi card phone debit payment. Failed to work at Snaplii, didn’t work to make a health insurance payment, and didn’t work to make a medical bill payment.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to know WHERE this card works.
Do you have Fios? If so, it should work to pay that.
I don’t have Fios, but I just tried it at Frontier (internet) and it failed. Also tried it at Duke Energy with no luck.
Did you check the balance on the gc? Maybe when it failed on Amazon, the same thing happened to your gc that happened here: #2005553 . If so, it would make sense why it would keep on being declined with no available balance. You might want to wait a week before trying again.
I’ve had this happen with virtual cards issued by My Prepaid Center. I called customer support about this issue in the past and they reissued another card for me.
I tried: buying amazon gc – nope- tried adding to Apple Pay and Paypal no luck- so almost ordered a plastic card but $3 fee (!) and now I am wondering -those of you reporting you spent it -how did you do that? I don’t use any of the merchants on their site. Thanks!
What do you mean? I added it as a payment method to Amazon just fine.
I too was able to first add the card to Amazon, then used it to reload my Amazon balance, so not sure why you are having a problem.
I tested as Citi phone payment which failed (wasn’t expecting it to work tho). Then I just paid part of my insurance bill with no issues.
I received an email today that I got a $5 virtual prepaid card. I was skeptical at first and unsure if I would actually get the card but it really did come. Hoping everyone else gets theirs as well.
I wonder if it can be added to my phone to be used with the mobile wallet on my Android phone though sometimes I’ve had issues at certain merchants with similar cards processing either debit or credit along with if the card value is less than the transaction total.
submitted 2/11, just got the email w the $5 on 2/13. used a recent receipt photo I had from grocery shopping
Do you all provide your actual date of birth? I just entered a fake month/day at the beginning and noticed it showed up on the last page to be submitted.
That’s a bad idea to commit fraud!
To be fair, the prompt just said:
“Age Verification
You must be of legal drinking age to enter this site. Please enter your date of birth.”
How much more clear can “Please enter your date of birth.” be?
In regard to fraud? A lot.
Are you implying that they needed to write “if you provide false info, you will be committing fraud” for it be considered fraud?
No, I’m implying it’s not clear that being of legal drinking age but providing the wrong date of birth for an age gate on an alcohol website is fraud. There’s no indication that it is part of the rebate submission.
Eric has no law degree. Maybe it is fraud, maybe it isn’t. One thing is for certain, Eric has no idea either.
Is a UPC required? I assume it isn’t…
Nevermind.
“Note: if the ‘UPC’ button isn’t present below, you are not required to provide images of your UPC(s).”
Not sure about expiration date of the redemption code, the card expires after 6 months, mine says August, 2025.
