Discover announced today a partnership with Paypal which allows cardholders to redeem their cashback or miles when paying with Paypal. Cashback and Miles are redeemed at a rate of 1:1, so $1 cashback gets you $1 on Paypal, and 100 miles gets you $1 on Paypal. You need to link your card first to enable this option.
Not really any gain here as Discover rewards can easily be redeemed for a statement credit or as a deposit to your checking account. Citi has a similar partnership to allow redeeming ThankYou points with Paypal.
