The Offer

• Discover is letting you earn 5% cash back on your choice of participating stores on the first $1,000 in spend. You can choose between the following stores:
  • Applebee’s
  • Bed Bath & Beyond
  • Lowe’s
  • Olive Garden
  • Shell Walgreens

Our Verdict

As always, your best option is to enroll in a store that you were already planning to make purchases for. Just make sure it’s not cheaper to purchase giftcards for those stores at a discount first (we recommend using giftcardgranny for this). If you don’t have any upcoming purchases at any of these stores, keep in mind that Walgreens sells Visa gift cards (Lowe’s and some Shell’s also sell Visa/Mastercard gift cards and allow you to use a credit card).

There is also a promotion at Walgreens at the moment, meaning it’ll be possible to double stack these offers for even more profit. We’ll post the full details of that Walgreens offer in our next post.
