Discover has sent out a letter to some account holders informing them that “bank prepaid accounts can no longer be linked as external accounts for transfers between banks. As a result, on 5/29/2026, we will be deleted your external bank account(s) listed below and any future dated transfer, if applicable.
The way this is worded makes it seem like a legal requirement, but I’m not aware of any changes that require this from Discover. I’m hoping somebody can enlighten me in the comments.
