Our Verdict

Divvy offered a $100 bonus for taking a 15 minute demo. For that offer you needed a real business to get approved and even then it was difficult. Not sure what approvals will be like on this offer. There is no annual fee/monthly fees to worry about. Great deal if you can get approved.

Did you ever contact them about it not paying out? You should’ve gotten the bonus, even though it’s only an SP.

Here’s the new link: https://www.bill.com/offers/500-for-500

They’ve increased their referral to $200/$200. Got an email this morning: “This February, when you successfully refer someone to any of our products – BILL Accounts Payable, BILL Accounts Receivable, or BILL Spend & Expense (formerly Divvy) – you’ll get a $200 Visa gift card! And they’ll get $200 too* It’s double our usual referral reward, so now’s the time to tell your friends about BILL”  William Charles  Chuck

Around November or December I remember they had the $100 referral going. Now, they are partnering on this new $200 referral program. I think they might have just forgot to update the page where it still shows $100. There is FAQ about the referrals if you are logged in to your account. The last one has an email address you can submit a question to if anybody wants assurance.

I contacted support for Divvy using the Chat feature. They confirmed the referral program is $200/$200 through February.

Finally got the $500 bonus after contacting customer service. How do you get the payout? request a check? or anyway to ACH out?

They must have gotten smarter on the policies. I chatted with them and asked them if I could ACH to my external account, but they said I had to spend the $500 using the Divvy card. Not the most ideal scenario, but I got a free Apple Watch out of it 😃

I am having trouble proving my business. All I have is a DBA, bank account and schedule C from taxes. I sent them all 3 with a letter explains in Cali I only need a DBA. A friend of mine succeeded with such a letter, but they still want one of the following, anyone have a suggestion for a work around?:
They are asking for –
***A copy of your Certificate of Good Standing,
***Partnership Agreement (for trusts, partnerships or sole proprietorships), or
***Trust Agreement (for trusts, partnerships or sole proprietorships)

You could get an EIN and avoid having to send all those extra documents. Apply during normal business hours and you get the number right away, no waiting for a mailed copy. Just be sure to download a copy for yourself and keep the number written down in a safe place.

You’ll have to email the rep who reached out to you your DBA form. This is what I had to do when I was approved months ago. Tell her/him you shouldn’t need to provide anything beyond the DBA and social security.
