The Offer
Dosh is a loyalty and cash back program, you can read our full review here. They have a referral program which usually gives the referrer and the new member $5 each.
- For the next few days, through October 1, they are offering the new member a $10 bonus instead of $5.
- They also offer $2 for linking two cards.
Note: In order to be eligible for a Dosh signup bonus, you need to link a card and also receive your first cash back from a purchase (signup bonus cash back does not count).
The Fine Print
- Referral bonus is paid when the referred individual clicks on the referrers unique link, downloads the app, completes the sign-up process by adding a valid credit or debit card, and receives cash back from a Dosh offer or travel deal.
- Note: Referral bonuses are subject to first email verification.
- Cash back from connecting a credit or debit card does not qualify for a referral bonus.
- Offer good through Sunday 10/1/17 at 11:59 pm CST.
- Additional $5 will be added to each user’s Dosh Wallet within 2 business days.
Our Verdict
You can use my Dosh referral link and get the $12 bonus ($10 + $2 for adding two cards) or find a friend who got the offer and use theirs. I’ll also get $5 if you use it.
I’m not sure if everyone’s referral link has the $10 offer attached or it’s targeted to some. I got the email, and I’d guess everyone did in which case you can also grab a referral from the comments in our Dosh referral thread.Â
Hopefully, readers will come up with an easy way to meet the cash-back-earn requirement. Else you can just use it by making a small purchase at a local eatery.
I haven’t found Dosh to be very useful (though I haven’t tried it out much either, to be honest). Seems to be basically a shopping portal and a card-link program for restaurants. The portal isn’t useful unless their rates are better than others. And the card-link runs on Empyr – essentially, you’re choosing them over another provider who uses Empyr. Let us know if I’m missing something.
