Update 8/12/26: It’s live now – Tock locations are now included in Resy. The AmEx credit will eventually work for Tock location too, but not yet – starting September 15, 2026 purchases at Tock locations found on Resy will trigger the statement credits. Always check for the message on the venue indicating that it’s eligible for the credit; it shows on each restaurant page on Resy.

According to Fast Company American Express will fold Tock into Resy, this will create a platform with 25,000 venues (Tock responsible for 8,000) and make it easier to use the Resy $400 dining credit that the Platinum card comes with.
American Express acquired Resy in May 2019 for a rumored~$200 million when it had approximately 4,000 partnered restaurants. American Express then acquired Tock for $400 million. Chase has partnered with industry giant OpenTable and DoorDash recently spent $1.2 billion to acquire SevenRooms (reservations platform).
Ultimately this is good news for cardholders as it will be easier to use that Resy credit now.
