The Drop app is sending out a special referral offer:
- Get $50 when you refer 5 friends who join and link a card.
The new member gets a $5 bonus (5,000 points) as well.
Check your emails for this offer. You can find your referral code by clicking the heart button at the top-left corner in the app. (Note, the offer does not seem to be showing there, only in the email.)
The Fine Print
- Friends must link a card to Drop and confirm their account via email.
- Promotion runs through May 30.
- $50 in Drop points will be awarded to you on May 31st.
- Promotion capped at $50 per 5 referrals.
Our Verdict
I got an email about this offer – I think it’s public for everyone (?).
Appreciate anyone who uses our referral code: doctorofcredit. The Drop app is worth giving a whirl given the occasional offers, portal opportunities, and card-link offers. For example, they still have an offer to get $2 per $1k in Plastiq payments.
It’s interesting that the bonus for the new member was initially $1, but now it’s showing as $5. I’m not sure when it went up to $5 – that seems to be a development not related to this $50 referral offer, but it can make it more enticing to get friends to signup.
