  • Dunkin Donuts is offering a free beyond meat sandwich sample on 11/8 and 11/9 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m

Our Verdict

Despite the fact it says sample, apparently you’ll receive a free full sized sandwich. I guess we will find out if that’s true or not on the 8th. I can’t really tell the difference between beyond/impossible and real burgers (when comparing to similar low quality fast food burgers) so they get the job done. I’m a little concerned about the amount of sodium in these products but otherwise they seem great. Worst case scenario this is a way for you to try this product yourself.

My local Dunkin also only had the small quarter-sandwich sized samples. I actually liked it enough that I went ahead and ordered a full sized one, so I guess their ploy worked. Although the Dunkin order did give me a BofA coin, so I suppose it was a win-win.

YMMV. No full-sized sandwich here, or even a sandwich sample… just a bite-sized piece of patty, which they begrudgingly prepared for me, despite the huge LED monitor above their heads displaying the promo. Keep in mind, this was at a city location with no napkins/straws/stirrers/etc., no public restrooms, loud blaring “Dunkin’ radio” (or whatever, I just tune it out, just like gas pump ads), and rarely any smiles. (What place serves coffee without caffeinated smiles?) I was honestly surprised they were participating. Verdict? Good, if you’re in the mood for greasy sausage. If they ever offer some kind of GF bread option I’d definitely try one.

I read GF bread as girlfriend bread! which made me think a bit until I realized – Gluten-Free.

Haha! Well, bit of a stretch of the imagination but both can fall into the food category! 😀

Not every store is participating – the one by my office in another building’s lobby sells the sandwich but wasn’t sampling. Not paying for a sandwich I don’t know I’ll like.

Not a full sandwich. It’s a small bite

I just called the local DD here in Wilmington NC and was told it’s a bite sized sample, not a full sandwich. YMMV.

In case anyone is wondering, my local Dunkin was only giving out free samples this morning (about a quarter of a sandwich for each person). Still good though!

Went to my local DD and asked for a sample. They looked surprised at first, but they made me a free full sized sandwich after all!

ok we get it, you bought BYND stock at $200, and it will never reach that level ever again. both products taste terrible and synthetic in comparison to real meat

I like both, although I usually cook beyond myself whereas I’ve had impossible at some restaurants where it wasn’t great and others where it was. So, I don’t know

They’re not meant to be healthier than red meat (though they are), but rather as an ethical and environmentally friendlier choice. I am excited for this
