Our Verdict

The 10% offers are nice. I didn’t yet get the email, but the offer link worked for me to activate. Remember to go through a shopping portal or use our eBay affiliate link.

This ebay bucks offer barely offsets taxes for me. Ebay started charging online taxes 2 months ago or so.

Even charging tax on used and “not working” items. That can’t be right. Wish somebody would start a proper investigation into this.

My first order got 10% in eBay bucks. The second purchasing order didn’t (only recieved 1%). I believe you might have to re-activate the offer if you want to use it again. Anyway, I contacted customer support, and “as a one time courtesy”, they’re sending the request to the marketing team (subject for approval), so that I can get the additional 9%.

On re-examination, I noticed that paypal charged my credit card 4 separate times for each of the products in my shopping cart. None of the items were over $50… So to play it safe, only use this deal on items that are individually over $50.

Purchased via Chase Freedom -> Paypal 5% category + 10% eBayBucks

did they give you that extra 1%, i had same issue. In the past if my order total is $50 or more they give 10% but now it is based on single items?

Do ebay bucks negate portal/affiliate rewards?

I wasn’t enrolled in ebay bucks and when I clicked the activation link it said I had to enroll first then try again, then when I did that it said “THIS OFFER CAN’T BE ACTIVATED You are not qualified for this offer.”

andy

same happened to me.
