Ebates is currently enhancing the cashback offered on eBay purchases. One exciting thing is that they’ve doubled the cashback on the Gift Card category from 1% to 2%. This enhanced rate appears to be for today 9/6 only (maybe it will stick around tomorrow 9/7 as well).
This is nice is because there are many gift cards on sale on eBay. The sale will continue until sometime on Tuesday morning 9/8/15. We wrote up the full list of available options here, and we analyzed further the reselling angle here.
The Cabela’s and Regal are almost gone (just a few hundred left as of 10 am EST) and won’t last much longer. In any case, if you were planning on making some of these gift card purchases, it could be a good idea to do it using this 2% rate from Ebates.
I had been waiting for a bonus Bucks promo which tends to come between the 3rd and 5th of the month, but it hasn’t come. There is still some chance it will come tomorrow for Labor Day, but I’m starting to lose hope. In any case, it would make sense to purchase the cards which are running out of stock.
