I still wondered whether eBay regretted stopping customers from buying GC with GC. because many customers stopped shopping overall at eBay after the new policy.
If you stopped shopping at ebay because of that, then you weren’t really shopping there anyways. And notice both Target and Best Buy did the exact same thing within the last 2 months…are people now not shopping at Target and Best Buy too?
Comes out the same for those with $30 statement credit when you buy $300 at Best Buy Amex offer, plus you get B.B. reward points. My local Best Buy sells variable load Ebay gift cards among others. No dice on VGC, checked last night.
It’s not working for me. I get the message: “Only pre-approved buyers can purchase this item. Contact the seller to be added to their list.” when trying to add the item to my cart.

Hmm, odd that all of you had this issue–I just bought one with no problem.
It was really easy to message the seller and ask for approval. Still strange that it needed to be done.
Working again now, the “pre-approval” restriction word was removed. Seems the seller temporarily shut down the purchase is because he discovered that instead of the “1 per buyer” limit, some people are able to buying 3 by change the number at last checkout page. Now the loophole is closed and can only buy 1 now.
