Direct Link to offer (our affiliate link)

  • eBay is offering 15% off site-wide on Tuesday, March 20 with promo code: PSPRINGTIME

The Fine Print

  • Minimum purchase of $25 required
  • Valid from 9:00 AM PST March 20, 2018 until 7:00 PM PST on March 20, 2018
  • Discount applies to the purchase price (excluding shipping, handling, and taxes) of eligible items on eBay.com, cafr.eBay.ca and eBay.ca
  • Max $50 discount
  • Eligible items exclude items from the Coins & Paper Money, Gift Cards & Coupons, and Real Estate categories

Our Verdict

We had a similar offer recently with 20% off site-wide; this time it’s only 15% off and a lower $50 cap on the discount. Who knows what’s going on in eBay corporate, anyway, we’ll happily make use of it.

Last time there were some good portal stacks with this deal, this time I don’t see anything yet, but something could still pop up tomorrow when it goes live. We also appreciate those who shop through our eBay affiliate link.

Remember it’s 10-hours only, from noon ET until 10 pm ET. A purchase of $333 will max out the $50 discount.

So I bought $25 worth of items on eBay yesterday for the 15% off. Now today I open the eBay app and see an offer for 20% off $25 ending the 26th with code PRETTYDAY.

That’s select merchants only

Ebay is really trying to drum up business, that’s for sure. These are big time loss leaders. I get it, after years being only game in town, they are fending off one click local classified fee free apps along with amazon stealing away their resellers. I think they still have a niche though… national c2c sales. That said, having spoken to some departed employees, sounds like they got a little too distracted with various other wild pursuits, such believing they could become the next google in end to end ad to purchase, physical or virtual, going so far as to track an ad being shown and you stepping foot in a physical store not so long after to make a purchase of said item. The holy grail of marketing dreams in ad tracking. But those pursuits can lead a company way off track.

Sadly, I find most items on eBay cost more than retail stores these days.

I’m also seeing: “20% Coupon! It’s a Spring Thing.
Use code PRETTYDAY on $25+.|Ends 3/26, 8am PT.” Might be for specific stuff only tho.

Yup, that is specific retailers only.

of course, I JUST bought some $35 thing on ebay then came here only to find this discount :(.

Oh well, this will probably happen again some time.

On another note as far as I know, ebay actually loses money every time you use one of these 15% or 20% off codes. they collect 10% of the total sale price from the seller as platform commission so the way I see it, using this code means ebay is losing 5% on every sale made.

Sometimes eBay won’t reimburse sellers the different so they canceled my order several times, let’s see it so through this time

For the 20% off one recently, it didn’t stack with gift cards as payment. I’m still sitting on $600 from the 25% off sale at the end of last year. Was so excited to double dip, only to realize I couldn’t. So heads up, I’m guessing this might have the same restrictions.

I spent a lot of time researching a coffee machine I wouldn’t be interested in at single dip price, so figured I’d give others a heads up.

I was able to use gift cards with the 20% off deal. Not sure why you couldn’t.

I used gift cards along with a 20% coupon. Gift card is just a form of payment, it is not considered a coupon.

The terms did exclude paying with gift cards, but in practice it was not enforced. I also used gc to pay.

Another common place can be target red card for 5% discount, or just in general eBay will sometimes have $5 off $100 sales.

Thanks all, I actually just looked at the terms, which does exclude. Some reason didn’t think to question it.

I have 3×200 which I didn’t want to try actually adding to the account. Bought them at ~$150 last year with the brief target (price mistake?) so been thinking I might sell them to still profit as the fallback, which you can’t do once adding to your account.

Much appreciated, I’ll def get something today!

Even though the terms said no gift card, I was able to make a $500+ purchase using gift cards and the 20% off offer.

Besides the lower discount and the lower cap, this deal runs for two hours less than the last one.

I found that with the 20% deal on March 9, you could put items that cost less than $25 in your cart and still get the discount. In other words, the $25 minimum was for the total cart, not for each item.

Nice, with the 20% off coupon I got a Xbox One X, Extra Controller, Destiny 2 & GTA V for $399.99. Also received $50 cashback with Ebates, but that’s pending till may… and $5 of ebay bucks ha.

How did you get 10% cashback with Ebates on Ebay?

10% cashback category during the 20% off sale was video games. Resellers had a hay day, especially on the Nintendo Switch. Easy buy, easy resell for a large profit.

I haven’t used ebay bucks before, I am looking to purchase a Vitamix from eBay. Does the auction have to end during this period? If so would I be able to use this with the Buy It Now option? Is this essentially eBay $$ to be spent on a future spend? I was looking at purchasing eBay gift cards from Shoprite or Best Buy online to top up my CF 5X category – would I be able to stack with this?

Thanks in advance!

If you also buy something before the coupon period and pay while the coupon is active, it will apply.

So basically I can purchase something right now?

Yes, as long as immediate payment on the item is not required (applicable only for some Buy It Now listings)
