Our Verdict
Honestly I thought I was in a fever dream researching and writing this. How useful the product will actually be will depend on the details. A $25 sign up bonus doesn’t move the needle compared to other bank account bonuses, accounts already offer high yields with a direct deposit requirement and rewards debit cards aren’t anything new either. There is some utility in all of that being combined but as they say the devil is in the detail and at the moment we don’t have any of the details of how it will all work. Mr Beast recently acquired fintech step app, although it seems that X is gathering state licenses as well as having an underlying bank hold deposits (at least for now).
