Our Verdict

Keep in mind this auto enrolls you in a recurring subscription, so you’ll need to remember to cancel if you don’t want to be charged another $49.99 at the end of the year. I know they have been selling ESPN+ & UFC pay per view bundles for $79.99, that’s a better discount if you want the UFC PPV but I think this is the first flat discount I’ve seen for ESPN+ itself. I think there will also be ESPN+ & Disney bundles, so waiting for those might make sense as well. If anybody knows of a better discount, please share with the rest of us in the comments below.

FYI, there’s now an Amex offer for $10 off $49 for ESPN+. Don’t know if there’s any way to stack these discounts since you have to spend the amount of the full price subscription.

Details: Get a one-time $10 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $49 or more online at plus.espn.com and via the ESPN mobile app for purchase of an ESPN+ yearly subscription plan by 12/7/2019.

For anyone considering this who may also have or want Hulu, or, when it releases, Disney+, keep in mind that the bundle with all three is going to be $12.99/month (which basically makes the cost of ESPN+ $0.12/year, considering Hulu’s basic cost of $5.99/month and Disney+’s $6.99/month). No word yet on whether it’s an option if you use Hulu + Live TV and/or if there will be multiple bundle options.

Any way to get this discount using an iTunes subscription? I try to do that using discounted App Store discounts.

I don’t think insider exists any longer. All of the insider content seems to be branded as ESPN+ now.

exactly this. If you’re a cord cutter and soccer fan this is a terrific deal. Serie a, MLS, english FA cup, english league cup, plus some extra’s like UEFA nation’s cup and US open cup. Pretty great for true cord cutters for 3.33/mo!
