Our Verdict
$250 in gift cards for $3,000 in spend isn’t the most attractive bonus I’ve ever seen and there are certainly better offers out there. But at least it’s from a smaller issuer for those who have already hit the major bonuses. That also means we don’t know what businesses they will/won’t approved though so if you do decide to go for it then please share your experiences in the comments below. I believe they only accept applications in the following states:Â AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, KS, MD, MO, NC, NM, OR, OK, TN, TX, VA, WA, WV based on previous checking bonuses.
Bonus is now down to 10,000 points.
Phone First Citizens and was told had to apply in person at bank. Already had existing relationship (checking account / HELOC) and applied in person. Banker took down details and contacted me a couple of days later to say I was approved.
As always, be the datapoint you want to see folks.
Don’t know if their credit cards pull from the same credit reporting agency but when I applied for a First Citizens checking account bonus a while back, they did a hard pull from Equifax (yes a hard pull).
Can confirm they hard pulled EQ for my checking account too years ago.
It looks like no online application is available. Must call in or send message for them to contact you for applying.
Some questions:
1) How selective is First Citizens Bank?
2) Which credit agency do they pull?
Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other give card options are available.
Many questions- maybe someone who already has the card will chime in…
Would also be nice to know how much points are worth when redeemed for travel.
It would also be important to know if this business card will appear on your credit report.
Closer to $300 in gift cards after spend. Would be nice to know which reporting agency they pull from.
