The Offer

  • Get Amazon Dash buttons free with promo code + $4.99 free Amazon credit

Amazon Dash  buttons usually cost $4.99. They also come with a offer to get $4.99 credit after first use. Using various promo codes, it’s currently possible to pay $0 for Dash. You still get the $4.99 credit after first use, making it a $4.99 moneymaker in Amazon credit.

There are a few promo codes working to get the Dash button free. Here are the promo codes we have so far, mentioned on Slickdeals:

SLICKBUTTONS
COLLECTDASH
KINJADASH
IDGDASH
BGRBUTTONS

Some of these codes may have expired already. Find two of them that are still valid; the first will get you $4 off and the second will knock off the remaining $.99, making it free.

The Fine Print

As always, Amazon Dash buttons can be ordered by Prime members only.

Our Verdict

Probably not worth bothering with if you aren’t interested in the Dash idea, but certainly a good deal if you’re interested in trying Dash, whether for convenience of the tech-thrill.

Tide Dash is probably a popular option, but I just noticed now a Gift Card Dash option. Apparently, you order Amazon gift cards through the Dash button. Not sure I’d ever use that since I prefer selecting a specific credit card, but certainly interesting. Full list of Dash buttons here.

I am at checkout with a Gift Card Dash Button in my cart but none of the promo codes listed work, all of them say expired when I try to apply them.

Update: the Gift Card Dash Button is not available at this time. The page says “Usually ships within 1 to 2 months.”

Yup. You can still order it, though. It says it will arrive late December/early January, but it would get me $4.99 credit (if I understand correctly) for ~$25 gift card so worth a try.

Although https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&benefitId=default&node=12601078011:

“To receive the $4.99 account credit, you must attempt to order through the Dash Button by December 31, 2016.”

Interesting plot twist. Even though my two gift card dash buttons are not yet available nor have they even shipped and thus never pressed (although ordered November 9th), I purchased something on Amazon today and received two $4.99 promotional credits. Maybe this is only true for gift card buttons as they are on backorder, but apparently you get the promotional credit without even pushing the button!

It looks like it’s possible to continuously order a new one of these using the credit from the last, each time racking up a no rush shipping credit.

Anybody who is into pushing limits crazily may want to see how many you can rack up. Just let us know how many you manage to get before the inevitable AA…

Three of the codes work for me, each maxed out at $12. Managed to snag 7 buttons for $0 in a single order by applying the three working codes.

I was able to get 10 for free.
You can get much more for a pretty god discount however.

Limit of 2 buttons total for the Gift Card Dash (all Amazon purchases go on Sallie Mae Mastercard so no need to pick payment method for me).
