[Expired] Free Lunch from Chase Pay: $10 off $10 at Restaurants when Paying Ahead

This deal has expired and is unfortunately no longer available. Never miss another deal again by signing up for free and instant notifications of new posts.

It seems like there are actually two promotions here:

  • $10 off any restaurant (new users only, replaces the $5 deal)
  • $10 off select restaurants (potbelly, la madeleine & cowboy chicken. Works for existing users)

The Offer

Chase is celebrating the first birthday of the Chase Pay app with the following offer:

  • Get $10 off your restaurant order when you order ahead

Tap on the merchants shown in the app to see which nearby restaurants are eligible for this offer. Most people are finding lots of nearby options. Here’s a sample:

The Fine Print

  • Expires December 31, 2017

Our Verdict

Wow, Chase is going strong with their Chase Pay offers. They had a similar deal for $25 not long ago which didn’t go well for everyone. Hopefully with the longer expiration on this it won’t be slammed as much and will work as advertised. (Previously, there was a $5-off new user promo which stacked, but that expired 11/30.)

Fyi one of the restos for me (cowboy chicken) is only $5 off. Whereas potbelly & la mad are $10.

Woulda liked the full $10 off at cowboy chicken too. Oh well, happy for a cpl free lunches on chase anyways.

I can’t figure this out, how do you preorder using chase pay. For me chase pay is not an option when checking out, only a credit card

What do you do when you get to the restaurant? It’s a pick up or dine in?

It’s a pick up, already paid for by Chase Pay. Just give them your name.

Anyone else for Potbelly seeing that the menu item is… say $7.20 and then when adding to your cart the total jumps to… say $13.50? I have only one thing in my cart – any ideas?

Been that way on and off since last night. It’s the app being flaky. Surefire cure is to clear the app data in Android or delete/reinstall in iOS/Android.

Thank you, I will try that. Did you have the same issue or are you just recommending something to try?

Had the same issue with these ghost charges for unplaced orders/empty carts.

&pizza also has $10 off with Chase Pay order ahead.

Is it one offer per location, per brand, or per Chase Pay account?

Apparently it’s per brand. One $10 off Potbelly. One $10 off &pizza. But not two separate $10 off separate &pizza locations.

Thanks for another free meal, DoC!

Also, Potbelly (one of the only ones it’s valid at around me) is giving a free sandwich if you buy a $25 gift card.

How do you check the offer?
In chase pay, in the nearby store, I checked the offer and did not find anything.

I keep seeing all these Chase pay deals but I’ve never seen any publicity about it except postings about deals on this site and others starting a month or so ago. Is it just Chase’s version of Android and Apple Pay? Is it more of a Visa Checkout kind of thing? Does it only accept Chase cards?
