In my case I have everything listed but i notice one missing
“$5 Bonus at Too Good to Go after you make 3 or more purchases”
The energy bill offer is restricted to the following companies:
Coned
Duke
Dominion
Eversource
National Grid
CenterPoint Energy
PSEG
LI
Pepco
Georgia Power
I paid my Xcel energy bill twice and both flagged for 5%
Sorry, I’m specifically talking about the new $25 cashback when spending $250 offer that just started. The 5% ongoing offer you mention works for all companies.
The offer has actually been active for at least a month at this point. I want to say late February is when I first saw it, but I can’t recall specifically.
I did it in February, and
Bill posted it in February as well: #2006537 .
It is still there in my Offers/Bonuses section as it is shown as valid till May 15th. I think probably FutureCard is sending this offer again to people who recently signed up for an account or some of those who did not receive the offer earlier.
I wish you could do it more than once per account!
Few new offers on this card:
5% cashback on grocieries, gym memberships, and streaming services
Spend $50 get $5 at Restaurants
Spend $100 get $10 on AirBnB
Spend $50 get $5 on MetroNorth/LIRR
Spend $250 get $25 on Energy Bills
DP: Overpaid my ConEd bill for $250, received 10% back and the $25 bonus for a total of $50 Cashback.
Be careful with this card, after an MS transaction of less than $70 they froze my account over 2 weeks ago with no communicaiton, and also refuse to close it or return my funds. Luckily I had less than $1K with them.
How do you know that your account is frozen, did they email you about it? My accounts for P1-P3 with this bank were all closed after being frozen for a few days, they notified me by email about it. I had to send them explanations for some of the transactions on my account as well as a selfie, picture of my state ID card, and copy of the statement from the bank account that I had linked to Future.
I got a check in the mail with my remaining funds the week after they closed my account. Maybe they unfroze your account and just didn’t notify you? I had a little over $1k in my account when they closed it. I made several small debit card reloads monthly, but then a $1k withdrawal, which is what I’m thinking triggered the closure of my account.
If they give you your account back, don’t make too many debit card reloads, and only make small withdrawals. I’m sure most people won’t have a problem with reloading with their debit card too much, since most people seem to have a problem linking their debit card to Future in the first place. Also, hopefully you’ve already cashed out any rewards you may have had since I don’t know if they’ll give them to you once they close your account.
Have you checked your account in the app, can you add/transfer money in any way? My account details are still visible in the app, I’m just unable to complete any money transfers. I don’t miss this account too much other than getting the free $5 cafe offers occasionally. Never had a problem with them until they froze my account.
A new and unwelcome change for those of us getting 10% back on our utility bills:
For high cashback rewards at a rate higher than 1%, you can now earn up to 15,000 points ($150) per merchant category code (MCC) in a calendar month. Once you reach 15,000 points ($150) in that category (e.g., electricity bills or public transit), you will receive 1% at merchants with this MCC for the remainder of the calendar month.
Fortunately, P2 and I each have accounts so we can do $300 combined but it still may not be enough for our combined gas/electric bill.
You’d have to spend $3k/month on utilities to max out $150 cash back at 5%.
Yes, I was editing my post and exceeded the time limit. $1500 per month at 10%. Still a non-issue. I guess some people were paying business utility bills using their Future account.
Ugh, can’t edit my post anymore and I realized that this is actually based on $1500 in charges, not per month, not $150. So not as big a deal as I thought.
Honestly I’m not even mad. To S’s point, its 3k per month and will keep the rewards going for the 99% of us who aren’t going nuts on MS.
How are you getting 10% on utility bills with your Future card? I thought it was just 5%.
Read earlier posts. Some utilities are crediting 10% back that normally is for solar farms.
Got this email.
Hi KiloCharlie,
We hope this email finds you well. We have made updates to our Rewards Terms & Conditions to reflect the expansion of Future’s rewards offering.
Ditto, looks like they are capping rewards per MCC at 15000 points per month.

Just saw in the app a NEW spend $5 get $5 at cafes. Valid until 4/25 but the language is odd because it seems to be targeting new members only. Codes valid are 5812 and 5814.
I had this offer, but it disappeared
Nah, worked for me and I’ve had it for a couple years. Starbucks in Germany.
Does anyone know if paying for utilities via Apple Pay will count towards the utility bill spending bonus? My utility bills are a bit light right now cause of the weather so I was just going to overpay the entire $250 spend goal. I figured paying through Apple Pay would get less questions asked.
It should not matter whether you use the physical card or the digital card or Apple Pay to complete an offer. I’ve used Apple Pay for other offers with no issues.
