Our Verdict

These are funny Visa cards which offer 5% back at select retailers, regardless, they still function like ordinary Visa gift cards and can be spent down anywhere, maybe they’ll even work as debit cards at select locations for PIN-based transactions.

Go through a shopping portal for an additional 1% back; hopefully it’ll stack with this deal.

Pretty crazy deal if you can get in on it. Some people like myself aren’t able to order anything from Giftcardmall since their system doesn’t allow it, though they do send me emails with deals like this one to tantalize me.  🙂 There are a few other Giftcardmall deals we wrote about earlier as well.

Will these work at Walmart? Just got mine, and don’t see instructions to set the PIN. Is it last four digits? Thanks for any tips.

Went to the website, and figured it out for the PIN. Easy-peasy.

I placed an order in my name and an order in hubby’s name for two $500 5-back cards. I did an incognito browser and as a “guest”. The orders went thru and they finally arrived last night. Maybe keeping the order low helped it go through?

This is interesting: I went through topcashback for my order and now it’s showing 2% of the total amount as pending. In the past I’ve only received 1%. It will take a month or two to pay out anyway so I figure they’ll straighten it out by then. If not, then $75 bonus to me. 😀

I thought GCM is always 2% (at least for me).

Visa gift cards are supposed to be 1% as far as I know.

I was surprised to see 2% pending on my orders as well.

Ordered 5K this afternoon off my cell after creating a new account. If I’m going to be denied, go big…right? Confirmation email followed, then a verification phone call around 5pm. Order shows processed with a ship date of 12/12. Sounds good so far

Ordered $2k at 2:30 pm. Cancelled at 6 pm. Offer is now dead. They said the computer kicked it back (likely due to name/address mismatch but it’s impossible to know). Can only place new order.

I suppose I’ll reach out to them and ask to honor deal / make whole but don’t think I’ll get very far. Could sue them but probably not worth the time :/

I know what people will say (easy come, easy go) but at the end of the day, these corporations are unethical.

Don’t feel bad, my order of 8 cards got cancelled 6 hours After order confirmation, I was too greedy, my bad. Lesson learned, hope they don’t ban me later, I normally order 3 or 4 each time.

Mostly you get shut down for large orders and odd activity like not matching addresses and such. Just don’t game the system and look at this as a long term hobby as opposed to a smash and grab. You will do better over time slow and steady. Build relationships and a credible history wherever you go.
