Google No Longer Plans To Offer Bank Accounts

According to the WSJ Google no longer plans to launch checking accounts. Previously Google had planned to partner with Citi & Stanford FCU to offer checking accounts in 2020. Due to missed deadlines and the fact that the executive that was spearheading the project has left Google has decided to cancel the planned expansion into banking.
