I found that I am not able to check gift card balance for newly added gift cards, even for brands that I used to be able to auto update balance, such as Staples, Bestbuy etc.

Is there a setting or something that I need to turn on?

TIA

I used the $5 Fandango discount last month on fandango.com, dropping a matinee Star Wars ticket to $2.26 (after convenience fee).

Will all android pay transactions now show up as google pay? how will this affect the chase 5x? The list of the eligible merchants says andriod pay. So if android pay transactions do show up as google pay instead, will we still get the 5x? Thanks.

IMO unless this doesn’t give out enticing and better rewards than Samsung pay (SP used to run gift card giveaway promos before current reward system), there is no reason for samsung users to switch to use it.
Though for non-Sp android users, it seems good change

I’m not switching to Google pay, as much as I am a fan of Google. Already used to Samsung pay on my S8 and my Gear S3 and have no interest in switching. I think Google lost out on this one – they either entered the game too late, or just didn’t consolidate early enough.

Even better, get all the movies you want for $7.50 a month with the Costco MoviePass.
