Our Verdict
Hilton deals usually get better over time as they often add targeted deals for even more points. Overall not a super exciting promotion but if you have to travel anyway you might as well register.
Hilton ran this promotion back in Q1 of 2020 – except it was an additional 10,000 bonus points for every 10 nights you stay.
This promo offered an additional 5,000 bonus points for every 5 nights you stay means more people were likely to benefit. Fingers crossed they repeat this promotion for Q1 2022… not long to go until we find out.
Award/point stays qualify?
Will I earn Bonus Points for Reward Stays with the “Points Unlimited” promotion?
Yes – members will earn 2,000 Bonus Points per stay on reward stays. Reward stays will also count towards the 5,000 Bonus Point award.
Hilton used to give them for reward stays even when it mentioned they wouldn’t qualify. It’s good that it’s clarifying it beforehand now.
I’m surprised s lot of hotels have not started waiving resort fees. Only a few have done so in Hawaii and the last one I saw are only for stays up to 12/31. Get rid of resort fees, destination fees, city/urban fees, and other fck-your-customers-that-you-need-during-these-times fees first.
I had to fight Marriott to take off a resort fee from my bill. Full of bogus crap I’d never do or pay for. They did but I’ll never stay at a place that lists one.
I’m moving across the country in February. This is welcome news.
Not bad if you’re road tripping. An extra 2k points/stay when hopping between cheap roadside Hamptons/Hilton Garden Inns is not too shabby.
What I don’t understand with these promotions is why they ‘punish’ anyone who has a multi-night stay at the same property. The guy with 4 nights at 4 different properties gets 8,000 points but someone with 4 nights at the same one only gets 2,000?
They don’t want to give away too many points that easily. It’s good for us because points would otherwise get devalued even more
Book five separate stays, 1 night each? You’d lose out of the 5th night free but might make up for it if you are booking a dirt cheap place
Nope that’s not accurate. Those nights would only qualify for 2000 points total.
Agreed-this happened to me I thought I was so clever but the joke was on me.
Even if you book as separate stays, if you ask the hotel to stay in the same room for all nights, it typically gets billed as a single stay, not as a separate stay each night.
