going to vegas but not staying there – i read the offer terms as i can dine in at the restaurants and use the spas even if i don’t stay there to trigger the offer, but the comment below says it doesn’t? does anyone have experience with similar offers before?

Stayed there a couple of years ago and used the offer with no problem. Why would they not honor their terms if you’re not staying there?

Because the charge has to post from the Wynn to trigger the offer.

Lets say you stay somewhere else and just go to the Wynn to eat at a fancy restaurant, then use your Amex to pay the bill. The charge most likely shows up at Amex as the restaurant itself and not Wynn, therefore not triggering the offer.

That’s why people mentioned instead of paying the restaurant directly after their meal, to just charge it to their room bill and then pay it all together to have it all show up as a Wynn charge on Amex’s end.

Hope this makes it clearer SF … 🙂

yes that makes sense, i just don’t know that’s true in this case since the terms seem to state that making a purchase outside the stay would qualify.

also i dined at a restaurant inside the hotel recently, paid for it separately (ie did not charge to the room) and it came through as the same merchant as the hotel, so i guess ymmv.

“Offer valid for…select food and beverage establishments…”

As Jay said It probably means restaurants operated by the hotel and not, for example, a Starbucks or something leasing space inside the property. You can always just ask if it’s billable to the room or if they accept a Wynn gift card. My guess is most all the restaurants at the Wynn are probably run by the hotel.

I used the Amex Wynn offer last month (Dec 2023) for the Wynn buffet and made reservations online. Amex credited me $60 a few days later.

You would have to charge it to your room for it to trigger the credit.

…why??
You know there’s still a pandemic going on, a casino (vegas in general) sounds like the worst place to possibly be right now.

I spent two nights at the Wynn a couple years back. It was certainly NOT “a funeral of [my] bankroll” as you stated.

I booked the rates using a visa signature card through their concierge site online. We received $200 of room credit ($100 through the visa signature booking and $100 as a courtesy since they took a while getting us checked in and getting all the details of our offer). In addition, they sent courtesy drinks and chocolate-covered strawberries to our room. We were able to go to La Cave and the buffet twice, in addition to getting $60 each morning for in-room breakfast (included with the visa signature benefits). All-in, we paid just over $300 out of our pocket for a three-day, two-night stay with two breakfasts, two lunches, one dinner, and two snacks paid for. Add in the pool and other nice benefits of the hotel, and we had a great experience. (We don’t gamble so no loss there).

I was at Wynn 2 weeks ago when masks restrictions were lifted- it was great to see things get back to normal.
Somehow I avoided contracting COVID- perhaps my vaccine helped a little.
GoPack by all means, stay home forever. Don’t want to catch anything! We will find a way to manage without you.

I think I ran out of fear when I saw the data that getting COVID as a vaccinated person is no big deal.
