Our Verdict
I saw an ad for this offer when I was browsing Twitter, we’ve been having a lot of issues with our hosting provider recently so I thought I’d leave a review with HostingFacts to see if they paid. I submitted a short but detailed review of my experience with HostGator, then John who runs the site asked me to send over a picture to accompany my review (I’d recommend adding a picture when you submit it to improve your chances of being reviewed), after that I was paid.
Pretty painless process and I was able to vent and then have a look at some other hosting providers (if you have one you’d recommend, or work for a hosting provider get in touch). I like the fact that HostingFacts doesn’t currently use affiliate links on the site and they also provide detailed reviews that are backed up by statistics.
Obviously not every review will be published and you shouldn’t submit a review unless you have something useful to add (remember only reviews that are published will receive $10), but it’s nice to receive a bit of compensation for taking the time to leave a review.
