Our Verdict
$49 for NYC is really cheap, especially if the hotels are even half decent. You don’t get to pick the exact hotel you stay in (it’s revealed after your booking is made), but you can see the area it’s in and the amenities, you can usually narrow it down to what the actual hotel is but that can be time consuming and it’s not always possible (update: This site can be used as well). They do promise that all hotels are 4-5 stars, but in my opinion star ratings are basically pointless. Keep in mind that a lot of these hotels also charge a resort fee, you can see what this is when you click on the hotel for more information. When I did a search for NYC the fees ranged from $20 to $32, so that makes the rate considerably more expensive. You can go through a portal for a further 9% cash back.
