You can currently get two free nights at any Hyatt property with the annual fee of $75 waived for the first year on the Chase Hyatt card. But there is a way to get an additional $50 statement credit added on top of this.
How To Get The Offer To Appear:
- Go to the Hyatt site and and log into your Hyatt Gold Passport account
- Pretend to make a booking
- Once you get to the confirmation page you should see a small ad that offers the two free night stays and a $50 statement credit
- You should be redirected to a page that looks like this (click to view).
- Apply for this card using your Hyatt Gold Passport number
- Close out of your booking on the Hyatt site
If you’re approved for this card, you should receive the $50 statement credit as long as you make $50 in purchases. While the fine print of the offer states that you must make a reservation to receive this statement credit, multiple people have reported getting the credit without it – as long as they spend a minimum of $50.
All The Same Benefits
Using this offer has all the same benefits as applying directly from the Chase website, you still get:
- Two free night certificates for any Hyatt properties worldwide after you spend $1,000
- Elite gold passport status for as long as you’re a card holder
- One free night certificate (at any 1-4 property) on your card anniversary
- 3x points for all purchases at Hyatt properties, 2x points for for all purchases at restaurants, airline tickets purchased directly from the airline and car rental agencies and 1x points for all other purchases.

Hi, thanks for the info. Couple of my siblings and I planning a trip to Costa Rica next month, staying at Andaz Peninsula Papagayo anyways, so I made the reservation (a bit ahead of schedule) then applied for the card. Instant approval and card info already populated in payment field when I went back to continue the reservation. Only problem is I may have to readjust the date (within a day or two), but I will call the reservations and let them still honor the $50 credit. Thanks again.
