Our Verdict

You need to book through the offer website, so make sure you also check the rates when you just book through the main Hyatt website as well as sometimes the price can be different. Shame that this is non refundable and also that you don’t earn any Hyatt elite night credits on the 4th free night but that has to be expected I guess. Keep in mind these other stacking opportunities:

Deal won’t work on points bookings, but should be possible to stack it with the Citi Prestige 4th night free benefit.

As other users have alluded to, this is largely a Pyrrhic offer, since the rate is raised to an overpriced rate, before the offer is applied. The problem with that, is that basically you have to give up your right to book the competitive rate, in order to essentially get a discount on an overpriced rate… a discount that does not end up being anywhere near 25% off the competitive rate. Also, Hyatt always rounds up the rate, instead using correct rounding.

The 4th night free offer should be based on nights, or 25% off of the lowest advertised rate. But, Hyatt only takes 25% off the highest rate over the 4 day period, and charges you that rate for 4 nights… so that you essentially get very little actual discount.

It doesn’t make any sense, whatsoever. If booking Hyatt, it would be better to just find a discounted rate through a 3rd party.

That said, if you have the Citi Prestige, which already takes 25% off of the 4 night stay, that would be the only good reason to take advantage of this offer.

So our CSR annual fee hit, and Im likely NOT going to renew. Still have $300 Travel Credit, and my parents want to stay at a $100 a night Hyatt that is eligible for this promo in MAY.
Since the ‘4th night rebate’ goes back to your credit card… What do you think happens if that credit card is canceled by the time your rebate is due?

It’s Hyatt Place not Hyatt House 🙁

Be sure to compare with other available rates. For the locations I was looking at in Asia, this rate comes out to be about the same or slightly worse than the member prepraid rate, with basically the same restrictions.

Doordash: $5 off a $10+ order with code: DELICIOUSWIN

It’s from the promotion a couple days back, but it looks like anyone can use the code, regardless if you submitted the answer or not. It’s not unique.

I’m still better off using points for the two Hyatt Regency is staying at by May. Even taking into calculation fourth night free with this offer I still get almost 2cper point.

this doesn’t seem right, i applied the coupon and the price summary does say that the 4th night is free, but it bumps up the price on other nights =/

Same thing I found when I tried yesterday. This is pretty lame really. No real deal here. When comparing without the code I found better opportunities.

To be fair, the T&C at check out says your card will be charged the full 4 day rate, and then they refund you presumably 1/4 of that AFTER you complete the stays… I think they’re trying to prevent some sort of gaming.
Availability in less expensive Hyatts.

I was just looking at a Hyatt Place in Thailand. It was only $2 cheaper with the fourth night free than just booking the regular member rate. And if I understand correctly, I wont get the 1500 points for the 4th night for the promotion??, so using this promo is actually a worse deal.

Almost the same to me. Just check one and the difference is only $1. What a sale!

Yes. Perhaps there are a few sweet spots but overall this looks like a poor offer from Hyatt.

Some good options overseas as well, if this can be booked through Prestige this offer is a home run.
