How long does it take to post to Etihad after posting on Hyatt?

I registered for the offer and had a Hyatt Place stay over the weekend. To my pleasant surprise, I received 1000 Hyatt points under Etihad Promo Bonus Miles. Still nothing in my Etihad account.

I’m having trouble even creating a new Etihad account, as I have an upcoming reservation next week. Any one have trouble with registration? Thanks.

I currently have my AAdvantage account linked. Can I have both linked?

I just signed up for the promo. I have a flight next Monday (AA PPRO) for a stay (Explorist) that ends on Friday. Will report back here my results. Hoping to compound value with a Venture X sign up bonus transfer to Etihad on short AA economy fights. Etihad has a distance-based partner chart.

Yes you can. I have both linked and just received the bonus for both linked accounts.

So even if we don’t want etihad miles, it seems like there’s no downside to registering?

*You must choose to earn either World of Hyatt Base Points or Etihad Guest miles as your base earning.

This is confusing wording, but I think you’re correct.

Sounds like it doesn’t work for points bookings but does for free night certs.
an “Eligible Stay” is defined as any stay where a member is paying an Eligible Rate or redeems a free night award”. Unless they consider points payment an “eligible rate”.

I thought that point nights are technically considered Free Nights by Hyatt’s language, so maybe?

The general Hyatt terms and conditions defining redeeming points as a “Free night award,” so these should be eligible. World of Hyatt Terms & Conditions
