We’ve seen similar lists for both Hyatt & Hilton, nice to see one for IHG as well. Again credit goes to Extreme Hotel Deals for putting together the list. Worth doing a search for properties you’re interested in as well to see if you see something similar. Share any finds in the comments below.
I noticed this a few weeks ago when a user on /r/churning pointed out you could now book Kimpton properties using IHG points as well as free nights.
I found a hotel and booked two nights in a suite. I asked a question about it on /r/churning and a user said something about being able to use the free night, but IHG attempting to charge his credit card for the full night rate. I’ve watched the credit card I put on file and nothing has been charged. I’ve logged into both mine and my wife’s IHG account and both reservations still show up for the suite.
Also, when I booked the suite, it went from 2 suites available to only 1 suite available so I definitely took away availability.
Its so weird, i booked one kimpton free night a few days ago and now when I search kimpton hotels they do not even show up on search, such as SF or Chicago.
It seems like all kimpton hotels disappeared on the IHG website. Anyone has any idea what is going on?
Still seeing some San Francisco and Seattle ones.
Although the Kimptons in Seattle and some IHG only have unusual Cash and points combination – no pure points rewards nights. This is another reason why IHG is the suckiest of the popular hotel rewards program.

hmm cannot see on my end, just booked one a few days ago.
Coincidentally was searching last night via ihg app and noticed that in LV, the suite at Venetian was avaiable Saturday, feb 17 for same points as standard room(60k with cash price of 670$). Found it quite odd.
Any idea how long it would last or we can book how far in advance
