Kimpton Properties Now Bookable With IHG Points

It’s now possible to use your IHG points to book Kimpton properties. You can use this search tool to search for Kimpton properties. It seems the cheapest properties are coming in at 40,000 points per night and the most expensive are coming in at 70,000 points per night. With these additions we’re going to have to see how this effects the best use of your IHG free night certificates, I’d be surprised if some of the Kimpton properties don’t enter that list. These certificates are also now redeemable on Kimpton Properties. You can also view the elite benefits for Kimpton properties here.

This is excellent and I already see the availability of the Kimpton hotels using the anniversary free night search, too. Will be useful for my Seattle trip later this year where hotels are either 50k-60k IHG points or minimum $140/night (and seeing as high as $470+/night for some weekends).

Searched all hotels in Denver, not just Kimpton, for one night in July for free anniv night: no hotels available, but more than a dozen properties come up if searching for a paid reservation.

Is free night booking in the process of upgrading, is it a glitch, or a new permanent limitation on free nights? I’ve booked a free night once before, last summer, and had no problem getting the night when & where I wanted.

Meh, seems to have been a glitch. Cleared cache and tried searching from scratch, some Denver properties showing free nights available now.

That hotel is awesome and in a very good location. But still 60K is alot of points, but with rates at over $400 a night on weekends it could be a good value.

What’s the best current offer for the IHG card? I am only able to pull up a 60k + $50 on a dummy booking. Any luck matching to 80k recently?
