I like liquidating Visa and Mastercard gift cards at Family Dollar (more than Walmart) due to the fact that the cashiers there have always allowed me to load my Amex Serve card with gift cards no questions asked. Unfortunately news just got around that they will be closing around 400 stores this year. I hope it does not affect my Southern California area.

I just can’t get Kroger to work economically for me. At this point in quarter, I’ve blown through category bonuses, so my highest earning grocery cash card is 2.625%. For me, not enough to cover acquisition & disposition costs on $100 cards, for paltry fuel benefit (at least when compared to typical Giant offers). P.S. I can’t realistically use more than 18-20 gallons per fill-up, calcs based on 35 gal are not relevant to me.

so to get the max discount one should buy at least 3×100 vgc, for > 1000 FP, spending 3×6.95=$20.85, leaving a $14.15 max savings for ? Am I getting it correct?

Will this work today, Thurs 2/28? The coupon in the app says fri-sun but also says expires 3/3, in 3 days.

I’d like to earn some more Feb points to top off to 1000 points.

4x gas points = 14% back in gas.
Buy a vgc. Rip it open use that run as debit with pin in package (avoids workers having to type I’d number) to buy another. Add 6.95 with another card. Repeat as needed.
I recommend self checkout.

Kroger employees shouldn’t care. Let them take care of other customers and assist you as they have free time.

If I’m reading it right, these are only good for one card each this time.

Not sure how you figure that — “Downloaded coupon is valid for unlimited redemptions for each Mastercard or Visa Gift Card purchased during the promotional period.”

I was looking at the 3rd party coupon which said “unlimited uses” last time, but I don’t see that this time.

Been waiting for this. My fuel points were getting low. I wish they would let you keep them longer than 2 months. I had so much earned during holiday season that couldn’t get used up even after telling family and friends.

I bought these from Amazon – Midwest Can 5600-4PK Gas Can. $72 for 4 five gallon cans. They pay for themselves pretty quick.

I’ve considered that, especially since it’s 35 gal max per fill up and I’m not even hitting half of that. Of course, I don’t want a bunch of gasoline sitting around in my apartment.

If you’ve got an Advance Auto Parts near you, can add the Amex offer for $10 off $50, then get 4 of these (https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/briggs-stratton-5-gallon-diesel-can-85056/9180015-p) 5 gallon cans, go through GivingAssistant for 8% cashback and use the 25% off coupon, total at checkout comes to about $60, minus the $10 Amex offer is $50 for all four gas cans. Pretty good deal and pays for itself at Kroger after 1.5 fill-ups. Plus you don’t have to worry about this giant box from Amazon, unless you’ve got kids that want to make a fort out of it.

Edit: realized I linked to diesel cans instead of the red gasoline, but the idea is the same

I still don’t understand. How would we benefit from this if Kroger sells their gift card at a premium?

If you fill a typical 15 gallon tank, then the savings basically cancels out the cost of the card.

4x fuel points is equivalent to 14% in gas money. Assuming you use gas it’s good. You can use up to 35 gallons.
As a former kroger employee we don’t care if you bring two cars and gas tanks. As long as you aren’t stealing we don’t give a crap.

past few weeks, a web site called “ladysavings.com” has had the advance weekly ads for stop & shop (ergo, Giant/Martin’s). For this coming week, (starting March 1st), another yawner… with 10x fuel points being offered for Regal Cinemas and JCPenney…. (from p. 14 of the advance ad)
