Update 3/24/25: New offer and changes are live now
Chase United Business Refresh
Chase is refreshing the United business card. I saw this briefly earlier, but at the time of this writing (11:05am ET 3/18/25) it’s showing the old details again. Presumably it went live early and will come back soon.
- Annual fee increase from $99 to $150.
- $125 united flight credit after 5 flights (instead of $100 credit after 7 flights under the old card)
- The new signup bonus is 125,000 points (instead of the prior offer for 100,000).
- New credits:
- $25 farelock credits
- $100 hotel credit
- $100 rideshare credit
- $50 car rental credit
- $100 JSX credit
- $120 instacart credit
Our Verdict
We don’t have all the details yet, we’ll create a new post with all the details when they come out. Obviously the extra $51 on the annual fee is a bummer, yet overall it might be a net positive if the Instacart credit, rideshare credit, and hotel and car rental credit turn out to be useful. The signup bonus increase from 100k to 125k is a nice bump as well.

Data Point (FWIW): Current CIC and CIP. (Currently at 3/24 for personal cards.) Applied for Chase United Business on 03/31. Went into review. Hard pull on Experian. Got a call within 10 mins from Chase Fraud to verify the application was legitimate. When I confirmed it was legit, I received immediate approval.
I agree with several posts that the “coupon book” approach is garbage. However, the SUB is worth it for me, especially with two upcoming intern’l flights on United.
Are there any no AF downgrade options from the “regular” United Business card? Or do you just have to close it if you want to re-apply?

If I opened this card on the end of January, Can I request a match? Or is it too long? My friend applied at mid feburary, Wondering if he would have any luck?
“The new offer you are requesting is not available for a
richer offer so the original offer will remain.
Chris B, you will receive 100,000 bonus miles after you
spend $5000.00 on purchases in the first three months from
account opening.”
Follow up: Called, a nice rep advised to first meet the spending requirements for my original offer, and then call to ask for match. She clarified, that if they try now, the system won’t allow match.
Very interesting….🤨
will these ‘refreshed benefits’ hit existing united biz accounts?
any issues paying income tax with this card after the biz card changes this year?
I was not able to get chase to match this offer. I signed up 3 weeks ago. They said it’s because of the increase AF.
