A number of countries have started to reopen for tourism again (or at least announced plans to reopen). Some readers asked for a master list of these countries to make planning easier.
- French Polynesia. French Polynesia will begin opening up on July 15th. Negative test 72 hours before arrival required, random testing 4 days after arrival and travel insurance required.
- Maldives. Maldives will reopen sometime in July and there will be no restrictions.
- Seychelles. Seychelles will be open to commercial flights will starting July 1st (private jets and yachts will be able to access the country before this date). Negative test will be required 48 hours before flight. Must have a travel voucher showing the hotel they will reside at and $50 health fee will be charged.
- Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka will begin opening up from August 1st, 2020. Minimum five night stay required, negative test 72 hours before arrival and additional test upon landing and throughout stay.
Canada will remain closed until at least June 21st, although this is expected to be extended until late July. I’m sure there are many countries that I’ve missed, so please let me know in the comments so that they can be added.
