The Offer
- Open a new Bank of Canton checking account and receive a bonus of $100 when you meet the following requirements:
- Receive a direct deposit within 60 days of account opening
The Fine Print
- Offer valid for new accounts only. Limit one per customer. Current Bank of Canton personal checking customers are not eligible. Direct deposit must be received within 60 days of account opening to qualify. $100 account credit will be issued within 30 days after direct deposit is received. Cannot be combined with other offers. Offer expires 6/30/17.
- Bank of Canton will not charge a fee for using non- Bank of Canton ATMs, and will automatically reimburse other banks’ ATM surcharges up to $15 per account cardholder per statement cycle.
- Convenience Checking requires $10 initial deposit to open.

- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
This account has no monthly fees to worry about, I wasn’t able to find the fee schedule so I’m unsure if there is any early account termination fee or not.
Our Verdict
No fee to worry about is nice, looks to be an OK deal if you’re a resident of MA. Will likely add this to our best bank bonus page when we get more data points. If anybody signs up then please share your data points in the comments below.
