Our Verdict

I doubt the Citi cash back will post properly as it’s obviously meant for Indian cardholders, but even better deal if it does. Make sure you double check rates to make sure you’re getting a good deal before you booked, I looked at a few rates and they were significantly cheaper than competitors after applying the promotional code. Let me know if you found any good deals in the comments below.

This is great as I have been working on planning stays in India for June!
Playing around it doesn’t look like the minimum 5000 rule is being enforced and if a hotel is pay at the hotel you can still use coupon but it will convert it to pay through app

When I did this in the fall (the 60+30 % off one or whatever it was) I never got the 30% cashback. Still it was a pretty good deal. Also if I recall correctly one was able to book in the US with it? I think it was “international” to India.

Its not accepting payment from me. I keeps telling me that the expiration or CVV number is incorrect. I tried 3 different cards from different banks.

Not sure how you can reach a 70% (for indian hotels) under the limitations indicated.

Citi cash back will not post. Even though the terms just state Citi card, it is in reality only for India issued Citi cards. Went back and forth a lot with them about this when they ran this promo last november and I had used my Citi AA card. Still worked out well even without the CB…booked 11 nights for about $18 a night.
