[Expired] Meijer Mperks: $10 Off $150 Visa Giftcards

Deal has expired, view more Meijer Mperks deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Direct link to offer (search for Visa)

  • Meijer grocery store chain is offering $10 off when you purchase $150 or more in Visa gift cards

The Fine Print

  • Valid thru 7/13/19
  • Must clip coupon
  • Limit one coupon per offer

Our Verdict

Meijer sells $200 Visa gift cards, so this is a profitable deal especially when you use a card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases (keep in mind not all Meijer code as grocery correctly). Limit of one is obviously annoying.

William Charles this is back, expires 9/14. My Meijer location has $500 variables.

I’d love it if the post included that Meijer stores are in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

+1 … Props for setting some boundaries.

It can be helpful on some things though, like restaurants. I think I’m finally getting a grasp of what restaurants are near me after living here 20 years.

considering the card activation fee and the hassle of carrying an extra card and keeping track of its balance, is it really a profitable deal?

Maybe I’m missing the question? For people who MS it is a free $10. Not very repeateable though. But I shop at meijer for actual groceries (versus $505.95 “groceries”) and may do this. I don’t understand the point about keeping track of a card’s balance though, I’m just going to drain it anyway.

If you have to ask, it’s probably not for you.

Your elitist attitude leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If someone is asking a question, either answer them or don’t. Maybe they are missing something very simple in the equation rather than something that fundamentally precludes them from participating in churning.

I can understand your point. I’m not sure if elitist attitude is the right description or not. Maybe so.

But the original question leads me to belief the opposite of what you are suggesting. They are missing something fundamental. They do not manufacture spend. (See: “the hassle of carrying an extra card and keeping track of its balance”)

Manufactured Spend has always been a very closed group that discourages newcomers. No spoon feeding, etc. (Thanks for not “Being one of those bloggers” DOC.) Short of already understanding MS and having related goals, this isn’t really all that profitable deal, unless you were already wanting to buy this. (I.e. The fee is $6-$7, so ANYONE can basically profit $3-4 buying this. But if you wanted to buy one already, this deal is a clear $10 savings.)

The stores in Illinois do have $500 Visa & MC’s. The Visa’s tend to sell quickly.

I’ve never seen visas at my store over $200 but then again it’s been awhile since I checked. I know for sure my store has the $500 MasterCards, so hopefully this means that deal will be coming around in a week or two.

Definitely doublecheck. My store (IL) started carrying the $500 Visa variables at least 4 months ago, maybe longer but that’s the first time I noticed.

My closer Meijer stops at $200 value, but one that is 25 minutes away does carry the $500 value Visas, so it seems store specific.
