Our Verdict

You should be able to knock out $3,000-$4,000 of the spend by doing your regular $1k/month spend, but that still leaves a large $8k-$9k that you’ll be spending on the card in order to meet the signup bonus spend requirement.

Still not a bad deal for someone with unlimited spend or someone who is anyway signing up for the card or someone who can do the spend in the bonus 3x category (e.g. property taxes). Just keep in mind points are only worth 0.8¢ towards your mortgage.

Mesa previously offered a 50,000 point bonus with a lower $5,000 spend which was obviously a better deal. There’s also a referral offer deal with a bit less spend.
