- MooMoo brokerage is offering new users a bonus of up to $20-$1,000 in NVDA stock when you deposit up to $100-$50,000 and maintain for 60 days. (Deposit via ACH or wire, see this comment and this comment)
-
Deposit $100 or more and receive $20 in NVDA stock
-
Deposit $2,000 or more and receive $50 ($20 + $30) in NVDA stock
-
Deposit $10,000 or more and receive $300 ($20 + $30 + $250) in NVDA stock
-
Deposit $50,000 or more and receive $1,000 ($20 + $30 + $250 + $700) in NVDA stock
-
- Separately, new MooMoo users also get a booster rate on their cash account of 4.50% for 90 days on balances up to $20,000. Total APY is 8.1% instead of the regular 3.60%.
- Separately, MooMoo offers a ACATS-transfer bonus match of 3%, up to $20,000 in transfers. Maxed out you can get $600 from this. (This 3% match offer has been around for a while.) You can transfer cash or stocks/ETFs, but the transfer needs to be via ACATS, and so it won’t overlap with the other NVDA transfer promo which needs to be a cash transfer via ACH/wire.
- (Separately, they have a promo to get tickets to your preferred Mets game or concert if you transfer over $50,000. I believe this also needs to be done via ACATS transfer only.)

Our Verdict
This is an excellent offer for someone with large cash deposit and can amount to a 2% bonus. That’s on top of the regular interest which is a solid 4.1% (or you can buy SGOV in the brokerage instead, if you’d like).
I believe you’ll get the NVDA stock and have to hold it for 60 days which does create a risk of fluctuation on the bonus, but of course it can go down or up so that’s not too bad. There should not be any Chex pull or hard pull when you open MooMoo.
Here’s how I’m going about doing this MooMoo offer:
- Open an account with MooMoo via a referral link for a $25 bonus. (There used to be a $40 offer via Swagbucks, but I can’t find it anymore.) You can sign up via referral and still be eligible for these other bonuses for $1,000/$600/8.1%. I opened by using a friend’s referral link.
- Here is my referral link (referral code: F59YMKDM) – the $25 bonus does not show on the landing page. After signing up with the referral link and completing account set up, click again on the referral link and ‘Claim’ the $25 reward. (I did it on a web browser when logged in, but it should work on mobile as well. You can ‘Claim’ this even days later after getting the account verified and everything.) The system will prompt you to deposit at least $1 within 14 days and that will Unfreeze the $25 reward. Since I already had my bank linked and verified, I immediately did a small ACH transfer from my bank. Then the $25 Cash Reward was Unfrozen. Then I placed a trade to buy one share of stock (USFR treasury fund costs around $50; SGOV treasury fund costs around $100 per share) and the $25 got added to my Cash Sweep account.
- Then I’ll do a wire transfer of $50,000 cash to MooMoo. You don’t need to send the entire $50,000 in a single transfer to get the bonuses. You can do part via ACH and part via wire, or split it across multiple ACH/wires. I did a small deposit via ACH to complete account setup, and then did the rest via the various transfer options: instant-transfer, ACH, wire, debit-card. (MooMoo only allows ACH-in of $15k per month, though it’s sometimes possible to increase that limit. If you’re aiming for $50k you might want to wire the funds. You can find full wire instructions in MooMoo app.)
- Be sure to activate Cash Sweep in MooMoo to be eligible for the 3.75% rate. And once you have a nice chunk of money in the MooMoo cash account, activate the 4.25% booster rate (found in the My Rewards section) to get the bonus 8.1% APY rate. Your 90 day clock for the 8.1% rate will start ticking when you activate.
- I’ll keep $50,000 in cash – I’ll get 8.1% APY on $20k and the regular 3.75% APY rate on the rest. At the 60-day mark my $1,000 NVDA reward will be guaranteed.
- I can move out all my funds now, but I’ll keep at least $20k in MooMoo until the 90-day mark in order to maximize the excellent 8.1% interest rate. After 90 days I’ll decide whether to remain with MooMoo long term or to move my money elsewhere.
- As a separate bonus, I’m going to ACAT-transfer $20,000 in ETFs from my current brokerage account into MooMoo to get the 3% match ($600 bonus). This ACATs bonus is completely separate; you can choose to do the ACATs bonus or the NVDA bonus or both. I’ll transfer $20,000 of SGOV to Moomoo in one single ACAT transfer. I’ll transfer from a brokerage who does not charge ACAT-out fees. (Some people did an ACATs of cash. It’s a little tricky to ACAT cash so I decided to to an ACAT of SGOV instead.) I’ll keep this $20k there for 90 days. This will make me eligible for the 3% match maximum and I’ll get a $600 Cash Coupon.
- I’ll claim the $600 Cash Coupon when it comes within 5 business days and it will become ‘unlocked’/usable 90 days later. I’ll redeem the coupon immediately. Then I’ll choose whether to move all of my funds elsewhere or to remain with Moomoo.
- All-in, I’ll tie up $70,000 for 60-100 days and I’ll get $1,000 NVDA + around $200 value from the 4.1% booster rate + $600 from the ACATS 3% bonus match = $1,800 total. (Plus, the $25 referral bonus and possibly a couple other small MooMoo bonuses which you’ll find along the way.)
General note: with MooMoo there are lots of ‘Unlocks’ and ‘Activates’ and ‘Unfreezes’ and ‘Coupons’ and ‘Claims’. You’ll want to poke around the account every now and then to make sure all of your coupons and rewards get claimed, unlocked, unfrozen, and activated.
Overall this is an excellent bonus for someone who has the cash and it’s from the best cash deals out there. I think of this as one of the best large-deposit bank bonuses, though technically MooMoo is a brokerage and not a bank.
We’ve added this to our list of Best Brokerage Bonuses. Separately, there is a targeted deposit/transfer offer for existing MooMoo customers.
