Unloading these has been so painful.
I’ve checked 4 Home Depot’s and all have only $100 VGC’s Available or $50 eBay Gift Cards at the most.
Bed, Bath and Beyond – Checked 4 local stores none even carry or have ever carried Visa/MC then finally 1 store had them in stock, they had hundreds of them in $200 denominations. The only downside is that one is 30 mins away compared to 3 others only 10 minutes in each direction.
I’m exhausted to say the least.
Went to 3 BBB stores yesterday, one ran out of the $200 visa/master gift card, the other two don’t carry 3rd party gift card at all. Also realized yesterday that not every officedepot store carries happy card, in fact 4 local stores here only 2 carry them, and both of them have strict one gift card transaction per day policy. It really sucks to go in everyday for just one gift card.
Okay I have 24 Google Home Minis on me. Any advice where and for how much to flip them?
i put on craiglist for $15 each, 5 days later, no one contacted me yet, may give away as gift to someone, my daughter refused take one even free, lol

I’m also curious who is able to use the Happy GCs to buy VGCs at Home Depot or BBB. Sounds like at least one of each here? Or to use to pay at grocery stores?
I was able to use the Happy Lady GC at BB&B to buy the MGC yesterday. I asked for splitting the payment and cashier said no problem and I did not even ask if I can use the Happy Lady card because (I knew from past experience) it is not treated as a GC – it is treated like a credit card and you have to select credit and swipe it and also sign later just like a CC transaction. (unlike a BB&B GC which the cashier has to select the GC option before you swipe)
So, paid 130 at OfficeDepot, then 56.95 at BB&B and got a $200 MGC, $25 BB&B rebate card and a Google home mini in addition to 650 UR.

Curious though – why not get the Happy Lady card for $207 to cover it all, not have to worry about split tender, and also get more 5x UR points on Ink?

Discount % beats convenience…ha, but then there was never a plan to use this GC to pay for that GC. It just happened that it worked when I tried it later. Instead of 207 I would have bought a second 150 card and saved the balance on it for next time if at all I had the opportunity, but then you cannot always plan to such level of detail….just have to go with whatever is possible then and there.

I just planned to get Amazon GCs using the Happy Guy, but none were at my Home Depot. I wish I knew the BBB Mastercard GC was a thing!

Hit 3 OD stores after 6pm. 2 out of 3 had no issues with the free Mini. The 3rd told me gift cards don’t work, and I asked him to ring it up. He said even if it did ring up as $0 he wouldn’t do it! I asked him to show me any documentation saying gift cards are excluded, and he could not produce anything, so he reluctantly rang me up and, of course, the Mini was free. Earned that third one though! I can’t even tell if this was a mistake or as intended.
Had another $50 Happy GC from the grocery card deal and hit Home Depot. No issue buying an Arco GC at self checkout. Went back with 4x$50 and figured I’d try to see if it auto-drained. It did, but needed an employee’s approval and she checked my ID. Luckily she didn’t say anything about paying with the GC. Drained one $170 card and used $30 off another. Will do the rest later.
This has been a great Cyber Monday deal. Got ~12% off gas for the next few months and a few free Google Home Mini’s! Thanks again, DoC!
bought $150 in happy cards and ended up paying $130 with free google mini. guy at the register thought he entered the wrong amount on the happy card and i just told him it is a promotion…. can i use this happy $150 and buy a visa or mastercard gift card at home depot? thanks

Big fail today. Denied Google Mini in 1 OD and 1 OM store. “Manager says $150 purchase must be merchandise.”
Bought Happy Lady anyway because of Cheesecake Factory deal. Get denied again in CF store. “Manager says cannot buy gift card with gift card.”
Lol it’s a Visa though even on the back it says for merchants to run as Credit not as a Gift Card.
I’ve definitely gotten some eyes when paying with it for buying Visa Gift Cards, but no one has said anything. As long as it gets approved what’s the issue?
Walked into Office Depot tonight, no one there due to a snowstorm overnight. Manager asked what brought me in, said Happy Gift card deal and he said, “oh and you get a free Google Mini.” There were a bunch on the table. Thanks for posting the extension.

Scored 1 during lunch. Went to another OD to try my luck again. They claimed all the happy gc had a problem so they took them off the shelf. YMMV.
