Avoiding Fees
There is an early account termination fee of $100 if you close your account within 120 days, so make sure to keep your account open. Carefree checking & esteem checking accounts are both fee free and have no minimum balance requirements.
Relationship checking has a $5/month fee which is waived if you have a minimum daily balance of $200 or higher. Checking + has a $10/month fee which is waived if you have an average daily balance above $1,000.
Our Verdict
This isn’t a bad deal, especially if you can refer some of your friends & family members. That said there are much better offers to take advantage of before this one. I’d recommend looking at our best of list before doing this promotion.
