Pepsico Launches ‘Pepcoin’ – New Cashback Loyalty Program For Pepsi/Frito-Lay (10% Back)

Pepsico has launched a new cashback loyalty program called Pepcoin. Users need to buy specially marked PepsiCo drinks and Frito-Lay snacks, you need to scan a drink AND a snack within 48 hours of each other to be eligible and then you’ll receive up to 10% cash back. Once your balance hits $2 you can be automatically paid out via Paypal or Venmo. You can scan a maximum of 3 pairs (6 total codes) per day.

If you only scan a drink or snack you’ll receive a $0.05 reward for your first scan but future scans won’t earn anything unless both a drink and snack are scanned. If you don’t scan a pair of beverages/snacks for at least 120 days 25¢ will per deducted from your account each month. I personally don’t find this new program that useful as I rarely purchase both a drink and a snack at the same time. I guess that’s the point though and this will help to increase sales. For people that do regularly buy both this could be a good way to get some additional cash back on these purchases.

The code on the bags should really be Inside of the bag not on the outside. This is going to be abused.

They did the same thing with Pepsi Points back in 1996 with their 12 & 24 pks. They quickly learned from that mistake.
PepCoin is under the caps.
But yes, this is a pretty ridiculous program. Can’t they at least give you 0.10 for a bottle? They charge $2.50 at the store, $3+ at some vending machines and $5+ at stadiums.
So this definitely ranks up there as being one of their worst programs. It’s got a good name and idea, but the execution is horrible.

From the sounds of it you don’t have to buy them together, as long as you wait to scan until you have both in hand you should be good?! Probably depends on what they consider 10$ back but potentially worthwhile

I guess cans don’t count? Otherwise seems like you could just walk into a store, scan 6 things, and leave for $6
