Our Verdict

Keep in mind it’s a promotional gift card and will be sent out on August 1st and needs to be used by August 18th. Best case scenario you spend exactly $50 and you’ll get the following:

  • $15 eGiftcard
  • $15 cash back from American Express offer
  • $4 cash back from shopping portal
  • Credit card rewards

Not a bad deal. I don’t have pets so this is an easy pass for me. As always make sure to price compare with other sites to ensure you’re actually getting good value and share any deals you see in the comments below.

If you care for such things imo the best is bonus at SYWR . Spend $35 get back $15 valid thru 07/16
It stacks with these 2. It is a pity there is no currently a Petco offer on my BOA Amex

Dog food. Using two Amex offers and the $15 Petco bonus (current and future order) makes it a little cheaper than when it’s on sale at Sam’s Club, plus free delivery.
I’ve always ignored Petco offers because of their higher costs, but stacking works.

Thanks for sharing the offer!

I feel I got a good deal. Have an itchy dog and needed to buy flea meds anyway, so it was needed.

Tips: in addition to the $15 gift card there’s a $10 pals rewards bonus if you place your first subscription. Worked for me- never shopped their site before. Also, I googled promo codes and there are currently NO working additional promo codes that you can enter at checkout.

I used topcashback for 5% (not 8%) back on flea meds. Here’s what I got: PetLock II Flea Treatment for Dogs 21-55 lbs, 4 month supply, for $36.09 on Repeat Delivery, and two Sentry Natural Defense Flea & Tick Squeeze-On For Dogs & Puppies, For Pets 15 to 40 lbs., two at $7.59 each. Subtotal was $51.27. Not bad!

I used to take my dog to a local low cost clinic for meds and paid $5 a dose, but I moved recently and my new clinic wants $15!! I just got them under $10/dose and that’s BEFORE the $15 amex, $15 gift card, $10 rewards bonus, or the topcashback! Plus it counts toward my min. spend. Nothing to sneeze at imo.

Good thing canned cat food doesn’t go bad…. I have about 6 months worth of cat food already from a previous deal at Target. With this deal, I am adding on another 2.5 months worth of cat food into my cat storage closet (he has his own closet with food, catnip, litter, extra toys etc.)…

But I agree with Avi, the prices at Petco is a bit higher retail price.. Cash portal its 5% on food (among other things) and 8% on other stuff…

At least for Cat wet Canned food, I am able to get it down to about 23 cents/can on the brand (regular Friskies) with these two deals and the 5% cash portal.. which is what I typically what I paid to get per can with coupons+Target red card (no cash portal as I can’t use physical coupons online).. At least for Friskies, I haven’t seen many coupons lately (usually $1 off 24 cans).

Thanks DOC! I love it when you post these limited time deals that stack with Amex offers. I picked up a huge box of aquarium salt for a pretty good price. With Petco’s inflated prices, I think it’s only really worth redeeming their Amex offers when they stack with deals like this one.

I might use this offer, but be sure to compare prices. I have found Petco to be consistently more expensive than PetSmart and Chewy in the past. I remember once stacking an Amex offer and a coupon code (maybe 20% off) and then realizing that I had just only made it equivalent to one of the previously mentioned options in the past.
