 Chuck Just received this 👇🏽

Earn up to 50,000 bonus pts for referrals:

If eligible (see below), you (the referrer) can receive up to 50,000 points for each new customer you refer through the PointCard referral offer between 09:30 AM PDT on January 20, 2022 and 11:59 PM PDT on February 10, 2022 (up to ten (10) referrals). Upon your receipt of the points, new referred customer(s) will also receive 3,000 points and up to an additional 50,000 points. Approximately 96% of participants will receive points equivalent to $50, approximately 2% of participants will receive points equivalent to $100–$200, and approximately 2% of participants will receive points equivalent to $400–$500. The referred new customer (i) must be approved for PointCard, (ii) spend at least $200 using PointCard for rewarded transactions (which exclude fund transfers, gift card purchases, and restricted MCCs) before February 10, 2022 and (iii) must pay their monthly or annual membership fee. You and the new customer are each responsible for any tax liability related to participating in the offer/program. Please consult your personal tax advisor if you have any questions about how this could affect your taxes. This offer is subject to change and may be cancelled at any time without notice. To be eligible for this bonus offer, both the referrer’s account and the new customer’s account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. Additionally, this must be the new customer’s first PointCard account. Please allow up to six weeks after each new PointCard cardholder’s approval for points to arrive in your account. Your accrued points will appear in your app. You are not eligible for a referral bonus if you use your own referral URL to apply for a different card. Any points granted under this offer may be withdrawn if you are suspected of engaging in bad faith efforts to earn rewards. Due to the confidential nature of the approval process, we cannot disclose information on who has applied, nor will you be notified as to whether we approve or decline any application(s) for the individual(s) you refer. For clarity, you may not sign up for multiple accounts or otherwise violate the applicable terms or you risk account suspension.

Can you use this for paying cc bills or do they restrict you from earning points on those types of transactions? What about cash app?

I’m up over $400 this year from all of the streak promos and elevated earnings from Amazon/Target. Definitely worth it if they keep the promos coming.

You can get it for $0 annual fee the first year and $49 the second year, why consider $99?

I could easily see anyone charged the $99 AF able to get a $50 credit to offset by contacting support for at least the first year of increased renewal. Point has been great with compensation for errors and issues on my end.

At $99 a year I still see value in the card with streak promos and consistent 5x, 10x, and 15x promos. I’ve also enjoyed being able to drain out other checking accounts and pulling cash from ATMs with the 2 fee free withdrawals a month. Of course others find cash app just as useful for this.

Looks like everyone else’s DP including mine says we’re grandfathered in at $49.

The Point guy disagrees. “With phone insurance, trip cancellation insurance, car rental insurance, and limited-edition card colors like vomit yellow, the Point card is worth well over its self-appraised total estimated value of +$1,180/yr. What a steal for $99!”
