Chase hasn’t released the 5% rotating categories for Q2, Q3 & Q4 yet (Discover has). It looks like we might have a hint on what they are thanks to invana3131. If you go to the Chase Freedom calendar there is three empty panels, what’s interesting is the names of the images on these panels. They are as follows:
- Q2: cal _ icon_groceries.png
- Q3: cal _ icon_summer_fun.png
- Q4: cal _ icon_holiday.png
It’s possible this means we will get groceries as a category for Q2. The only thing that makes me think that this isn’t 100% is the categories that were offered last yet:
- Q2: Grocery Stores & Drugstores
- Q3: Restaurants & Movie Theaters
- Q4: Walmart & Department Stores
All of those would fall into the above image names as well. But it’s not that surprising to see the same categories the following year.
