Recap: Air Canada Slip Up, Free Travel Items, Drop Advice & Changes To Baggage Insurance
- Family forced to pay extra $4,000 for new tickets after Air Canada bars them from flight by CBC News. “Even if I was on my death bed and I needed immediate treatment in U.S., I’d rather die than go on Air Canada”, what a quote. Surely there must be more to this story, if there isn’t then Air Canada is massively in the wrong. Comments of this reddit thread also share every bodies terrible experience with Air Canada.
- Get Free Travel Items at the Airport Through Project Fi by Heels First Travel. This is pretty cool, definitely worth checking out if you go to one of the participating airports.
- If you’ve been shut down by Drop but still have points they will let you redeem them as a donation to the Red Cross. Better this than them being wasted I guess.
- American Express has changed the baggage insurance plan on the Platinum cards. You’re now covered for up to $1,000 in high risk items, previously it was $250.
