- Companies must let customers cancel subscriptions online, California law says by CNET. Big fan of this. Whenever I’ve thought of something similar I’ve always thought you should be able to cancel anyway you can join. For example if you can join online, you must be able to cancel online. If you can join via phone, you must be able to cancel via phone etc. Anybody who has done the WSJ deals before know why calling in is so bad.
