Recap: Priority Pass Business Model, Dead Deal & More

  • How Much Restaurants Get Reimbursed By Priority Pass (and Whether It’s Profitable) by View From The Wing. I’d be interested to know if they get $23 per ‘check in’ regardless of spend, because surely not everybody is spending the full $28 anyway? Or is it capped at $23 and if somebody spends say $10 then the restaurant only receives $10? The simple answer I guess is to just increase the price of your food and beverages to account for the discount you’re handing out to priority pass customers but then you’re alienating your regular traffic. I imagine other restaurants are on one year contracts as well, so will be interesting to see what happens. I think it’s laughable that Timerline thinks they might get a better deal at the end of the year, if anything Priority Pass will push for a much better deal for themselves.

Regarding timberline, I thought they were gone at some point anyway, as their space is where the Denver centurion lounge will go.

collision group thinks they are amazon burning cash for critical customer mass then monetize with huge leverage. they have the funds, but running a Groupon model will eventually fail. enjoy while it lasts I guess.
