- How I Went From Tesla Delivery Hell To Tesla Giving Me Control Of Their Site Forums With Over 1.5 Million Tesla Account Contacts by Dans Deals. Long read, but very interesting. Any other readers Tesla owners? What has your experience been?

- What happened when Elon Musk gave a credit card to anyone who wanted one by QZ. 50% chargeback rate, wow!
- Detective Pikachu Starring Danny DeVito. This is great, not safe for work though. Looks like Danny DeVito is in the cast list, so looking forward to his cameo.
I ordered my Long Range AWD Model 3 on 10/18 and took delivery of it on 10/27. The car has exceeded expectations. And for those who are curious, Chargepoint’s public EV charging stations bill in the “Travel” category. Not that you’ll be spending much money on public charging but when you do, it’ll earn you 3X on a CSR!
That Elon Musk credit card story is utter BS. Would love to see a single image of this supposed credit card. Guarantee nobody can find one.
Isn’t it referring to the initial rollout of the Paypal card?
Yup
Been a member of PayPal since 1999 and have had every flavor of its card. This story is highly suspect. Would really like to see a version of this card, if it exists.
No bank would underwrite something like this so who issued it?
Thiel BS.
Yes, I’d much rather trust your memory than someone who was there as a co-founder. Not sure I’d brag in these forums about wasting hard pulls on every flavor of Paypal card either.
Trum…I mean Thiel supporter, eh?
Did you find an image of this so-called card?
Of course you didn’t. Because he’s lying.
It’s idiots like you that believe everything you see on the internet posted by wealthy a$$holes that have ruined our society. Find an image of the card or STFU.
My Tesla experience: I ordered a Model 3 Labor Day weekend. I knew the Federal tax rebate was dropping by half if I didn’t take delivery by Dec 31. Tesla told me 2-4 month delivery timeframe so I ordered immediately in order to “ensure” delivery by Dec 31. They contacted me less than 2 weeks later to arrange delivery the following week! (I lated determined that Tesla was working as hard as possible to deliver as many car by Sep 30 in order to have a great 3rd quarter. I was the beneficiary of that.)
Delivered to my house and did all the basic programing for me. Delivery guy had already inspected the car and found/documented a minor paint problem. Received a phone call about 2-3 weeks later to bring in car to fix paint. Made appointment for 2 weeks later.
And then…brought in car on appointment day and was told they would keep car 5-6 weeks! They were willing to give me a Model X as a loaner. Problem is they sub-out paint and body work to a limited (apparently very limited) body shops. They haven’t create a waiting list so that they can notify people to bring their car in when the shop is actually ready to work on the car. As least the local Tesla Service Center says they are working on coming up with a system. The minor pain flaw is documented and I’ll take in eventually.
Typo on name Tesla. Should be Bozo.
I think you mean “charge-off” rate, not charge back. I’m just anal because I work in the industry. Thanks for these interesting posts every few days!
You are right, but the original quote from Thiel contains the error of 50% charge-back rate.
yeah I do, but the original article has used the wrong term so I just repeated it in case they meant charge off.
There is a typo in the title. It is Tesla not Telsa.
From the contents of the article, it seems like telsa is correct. I say don’t fix it.
Quick typo in title. “Telsa”->”Tesla”
Fixed, thanks
